FAQs
The most commonly chosen skip from our selection is the Builders Skip, as it is the most versatile.
Environmental legislation dictates that the following items cannot go in (or beside) the skip:
Skips must be a level load, with nothing poking out of the sides of the container. This is for safety reasons so that all waste remains in the skip whilst in transit. Skip sides or ends must not be extended with boards or doors to increase the container’s capacity.
Skip hire duration can vary. The average skip hire period allowed in the initial price is 14 days. If a longer duration is required this can be arranged with our team but sometimes (not always) additional hire costs may be incurred. On the flip side, if you fill your skip within 14 days of the initial delivery, we can collect the skip earlier if required at no extra cost. Once the skip is full and you require an exchange or a collection please notify us and we will spring into action!
All bookings are to be made via the ClickaSkip website; please do not try to place any orders with the skip lorry driver. If you do require any help with placing your order then please get in touch. The ClickaSkip team are here to help make your journey a smooth one.
Skips can be placed on private property, such as your driveway or business premises, office car park, or factory units. Please be advised, if you don’t have this available and you need to place the skip on a public road, you will need to acquire a Skip Permit. Please call our account managers who will arrange this on your behalf via the local council authority.. Note that this can take up to two weeks and a permit can last anywhere between 7-30 days, dependent on your local authority requirements.

Lighting is dependent on your local council requirements. It could be your responsibility to ensure that the skip is suitably lit in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Skip Permit Licence. If this is not done correctly, fines may be incurred from the council.
Yes, at all times, prior to placing a skip on public property or roads, a Skip Permit Licence will need to be obtained from your local council. There is a fee that will be applicable for this and that fee varies from one local authority to the other.
